The glacier at Briksdalsbreen

The Glacsweb research projects in Norway at Briksdalsbreen began in 2003 and not only allowed the development of the world’s first wireless sensor probes for glaciers but extremely useful results for Glaciologists and Electronics & Computer Science.

Melting Norwegian glacier – it retreated 400m in ten years.

The melting events in 2006 led us to move to iceland – our cleanup trip was on BBC TV News.
